The position will be for two years to begin on July 1, 2010, subject to funding. (There may be a possibility for a third year, but this is not yet known.) The annual salary will be $45,000 and the successful candidate would be expected to teach two courses per year within the Faculty of Mathematics. We are seeking a candidate whose research interests are closely related to the interests of our group, which include: low dimensional topology; gauge theory; symplectic and complex geometry; arithmetic geometry; special holonomy and calibrations; and applications of geometry to physics. Each applicant must submit an application package containing a curriculum vitae, a short statement of research interests and goals, and at least three letters of recommendation, one of which should address the applicant's teaching experience.
