Going to a big school in a big city is as exciting as it is challenging. But even in the biggest crowd, you’re unique! This week we’re celebrating what makes you, YOU. From evolving identities and leadership qualities, to religion and creative pursuits, there’s an event on campus that will make you feel seen. Because your individuality is what makes you amazing.

1. Coming of Age(s)

January 30, 3 – 4:30 p.m.

Discuss what it means to “come of age” as a queer person – emerging into yourself and your identity in different ways and times.

2. Resume Blitz

January 31, 12 – 4 p.m.
Would you like feedback on your resume or cover letter? Discover how to get your resume noticed by the employers you’d like to attract.

3. Impostor Syndrome

January 31, 2 – 4 p.m.
Cumberland House, Cumberland Room
Feeling like you don’t deserve to be at university as a BIPOC student? Join a discussion about the feelings that accompany discrimination.

4. Get to know Ulife

January 31 & February 3

Starting a new club? Want to apply for office space at 21 Sussex? Ulife has valuable workshops and information to help you get started!

5. Learning to Lead

February 1, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
OISE, Room 8220
Work towards your Learning to Lead Certificate and complete four of your five required Learning to Lead workshops in one day!
6. Human rights & religion
February 1, 10 a.m. -p.m 2:30 p.m.
Multi-Faith Centre, Multi-Purpose Room
Take a field trip to explore the basis of human rights and the promotion of those rights by Canadian faith communities.

7. Understanding allyship

February 3, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
Innis Residence, Events Room
Join a conversation about the different ways we understand the term “ally” – both its lessons and its limitations.

8. Cookies & Creative Writing

February 4, 4 – 5:30
Trinity College, Divinity Common Room
Treat yourself Tuesday is back with cookies, cocoa and creative writing! Nurture your creative side as you enjoy a sweet treat.

9. Discussing climate change

At the Global Commons conference, you’ll connect with students from around the world to discuss one of the most pressing issues of our time.
