2020 vision

It’s almost time to say goodbye to 2019, so this will be your last NNT of the year. Whether you’re celebrating a great year or looking forward to the new one, we’ve got lots of events and workshops to help you get started. Because with a little planning, 2020 could be your best year yet!

1. Winter wonderland 

December 11, 5 – 7 p.m.
Varsity Centre Arena

Celebrate the holidays with a magical evening of ice skating, hot chocolate, treats, games, prizes and surprises!

2. Interviewing for Work

December 16, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Myhal Centre, MY350

Learn about interviews outside of academia and how to position your grad experiences effectively and authentically to potential employers.

3. Mindful Moments Yoga

December 17, 12:10 – 12:40 p.m.
Daniel’s Building, Faculty of Architecture

Held in the Architecture & Design Gallery, this drop-in yoga session helps boost your energy and mood while improving sleep. Beginners welcome!

4. Grad holiday potluck

December 21, 6 – 10 p.m.
Grad Room

Join the UTGSU and the International Students’ Caucus to celebrate the holiday season! Great food, music, prizes and more.

5. Health & Wellness closure

December 21 – January 6
The Health & Wellness Centre will be closed over the break, so make sure you’ve got the medication you need and know what to do if you need help.

6. Talking Walls

Now – January 6
Hart House, 2nd floor hallway

Stand with Hong Kong Journalists” is an exhibit that showcases photos from journalists who present visually compelling stories about the movement.

7. Funds for your great idea

Apply by January 13
The Student Initiative Fund offers financial support for projects that enhance the student experience and foster a sense of community at U of T.

8. Get ready to go global

Apply by January 14
The application deadline for fall and full-year exchanges is coming up fast! Get your application in and prepare for the experience of a lifetime.

9. Leading Together Conference

Conference: January 24
Connect with other student leaders from diverse roles and areas of study as you participate in peer-led sessions and experiential learning activities.
