Good Morning,

As you may know this year’s Science Rendezvous is coming up in just 1 short week (on May 7th).

The Math Department, in partnership with the Fields Institute, will be having a significant display hosted at Fields.  This display will include a number of interactive and fun activities for the participants to take part in (including visualizing probability, a Rubix Cube Challenge, Geometry station, fractal station and more).

We are still looking for volunteers to either assist with general help on the day of the event or people to give presentations, walk around as an “Ask a Mathematician”, help with an interactive display, give a brief (10-15 minute) talk, etc.

If you are interested in being involved or if you want more information please contact myself or Andrea Yeomans (ayeomans@fields.utoronto.ca).

More information on the event can be found at: http://uoftsciencerendezvous.ca

If you are unable to help with the event we still hope that you’ll be able to attend and enjoy all that Science Rendezvous has to offer (and remember to bring the whole family)!

Pamela
